Through Solace - You Were My World

This is my last dying wish,
life is too fragile to be given away.
So treat me with sincerity.
While I'm alive I'll be more than what I am.
I'll try and live like any man.
(Disappearing without a trace, I'm disappearing without a trace).
Every face I see will one day fade away.
So I'll try to remember them while I can,
for one day age will claim me back.
Why should I grow up so fast?
Why can't each day last a little longer.
Every single word you say splinters,
puncturing my skin.
This is the end of my world,
now I must face the new day.
I'm watching the pillars fall but the memories won't fade,
they will stay with me.
It's changing out there and a whole new world's revealing.
The world's hope is renewed with meaning
and runs through this life we're leading.
Forever by your side,
your absence is never realised.
An awareness of the past,
an awareness for the future.
Forever by your side,
your absence is never realised.
An awareness of the past is remembrance.
And we will recover from this.
